What data Rsscheck collects

Rsscheck is a feed diagnostic tool designed to answer one question at a time. By design, it collects and retains no personal information, user accounts, or usage history.

  • Feed URLs: When you submit a feed URL, it is sent to our server, fetched, parsed, and the results are returned to your browser. The URL and the fetched feed content are not stored or logged beyond the duration of the request.
  • No accounts: Rsscheck does not offer user accounts, logins, or sessions. There is nothing to sign up for.
  • No cookies: Rsscheck does not set cookies, trackers, or other persistent identifiers. No analytics scripts are loaded.
  • No personal information: Contact information, names, email addresses, and billing details are not collected or processed by the diagnostic service.

How data is processed

When you submit a feed URL:

  1. Your browser sends the URL to our Cloudflare Worker.
  2. The Worker fetches the feed from the provided URL and parses it.
  3. The results are returned to your browser and displayed on the page.
  4. The request data is ephemeral and is not stored after the response is sent.

All requests are handled via HTTPS. No data persists server-side.

Third-party services

Rsscheck uses the following third-party services:

  • Cloudflare — our hosting and CDN provider. Cloudflare processes requests in accordance with their privacy policy. Standard HTTP request metadata (IP address, timestamp, User-Agent) may be visible to Cloudflare as part of normal request handling, but Rsscheck does not log or store this information.
  • Google Fonts — used for typeface delivery. Your browser loads font files from Google’s servers when you visit the site. See Google’s privacy policy for details on their data handling.

Data sharing

Rsscheck does not sell, rent, or share any user data with third parties. Because no personal data is collected, there is nothing to share.

Changes to this policy

If the data handling practices of Rsscheck change — for example, if user accounts, data storage, or analytics are introduced — this policy will be updated to reflect those changes. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised.

This service is operated by an individual who has not yet registered a legal entity or established a contact address for data protection inquiries. Once a legal entity is registered and a contact method is established, this policy will be updated with that information. In the meantime, any questions about this policy should be directed through the public issue tracker or repository associated with this project, where they can be addressed without collecting personal information.
